I live in Ripponden, not far from Halifax (West Yorkshire), with my lovely, very understanding and supportive family! I love being a midwife - and couldn't ever imagine being anything else! In order to maintain a healthy work-life balance for me and my family, I deliberately don't take on large numbers of clients.

It is a pleasure to get to know women and their families, and the sense that women are able to feel shared responsibility for their care, and grow in confidence in their bodies and their ability to grow and to birth, and to feed their babies gives me real joy.
